Overview

Exclusive service with licensed & experienced tour guides for meeting all expectations of our Pick-up from hotel at 09: 30 am. Tour to Derinkuyu Underground City, one of the largest and deepest underground city in Cappadocia. Drive to Ihlara Canyon; Walking in Ihlara Canyon, a ”mirage” in the Steps of Anatolia up to Belisirma village, the ancient Peristrema: ”Valley of the Sky” along the Melendiz River. Rock-cut churches spread across a wild plantation, surprise you with the successfully painted representations from the Bible. Lunch at a local restaurant in Belisirma by the river. Continue to Selime, a village with cave houses and on the edge of the Canyon, landscape like a ”STAR WARS”. Return to hotel at around 17: 30pm. DEPARTURE DAYS : Daily. DURATION : Full day. HIGH LIGHTS : Derinkuyu Underground City, Ihlara Valley, Belisirma, Selime Monastery

What To Expect

1. Goreme Panorama Göreme Panorama is a scenic overlook between the towns of Göreme and Üçhisar in Cappadocia. It sits within the boundaries of Göreme Historical National Park and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage listing for Göreme National Park and the Rock Sites of Cappadocia. 40 minutes

2. Mazi Yeralti Sehri Mazı Underground City is one of Cappadocia's hidden gems, known for its extensive network of tunnels and chambers carved into the rock. This ancient city served as a refuge for early Christians, offering a fascinating glimpse into their underground way of life. Visitors can explore its multi-level passages, living quarters, and storage rooms, experiencing the ingenuity of its original inhabitants. 1 hour

3. Ihlara Valley The Ihlara Valley (or Peristrema Valley; Turkish Ihlara Vadisi) is a canyon which is 15 km long and up to 150 m deep in the southwest of the Turkish region of Cappadocia, in the municipality of Güzelyurt, Aksaray Province. The valley contains around 50 rock-hewn churches and numerous rock-cut buildings. 1 hour

4. Belisirma Lunch will be served at a restaurant located within the Ihlara Valley, situated in the picturesque village of Belisırma, right by the Melendiz River. This charming spot offers a unique dining experience surrounded by nature, where you can enjoy delicious local dishes while taking in the serene views of the river and the valley's natural beauty. 1 hour

5. Selime Monastery Selime Monastery is the largest monastery in Cappadocia, where the first loud ritual was held. The monastery played an important role in the training of the clergy in the region, and their meetings with the region were held here. 40 minutes

6. Pigeon Valley Güvercinlik Valley is the valley where ancient caves are located, consisting of a soft layer formed by lava and ashes, starting from Uçhisar and extending to Göreme. It got its name from the dovecotes carved into the soft rocks for the pigeons fed by the people of the region. 30 minutes

7. Kapadokya Onyx Onyx is a natural stone that is widely used as a building material in the world. It is a special type of chalcedony that forms from the mixture of calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, copper, iron oxide and fluorine minerals in underground hot springs1. Onyx has different colors and patterns depending on the minerals it contains. 1 hour
