Be raring to go with this exciting day trip to Kekova and Demre (Myra) from Olympos. Highlights on the boat trip include the Sunken City of Kekova, hilltop ruins of Simena, the gorgeous waters of Gökkaya Bay, and Karemlik Bay for a spot of turtle watching. As part of our land tour, you have the chance to discover the Ancient City of Myra’s Roman theatre and intriguing cliff tombs.

What To Expect

1. Olympos Archeological Site Once you are settled into your hotel in picturesque Olympos, then you can start preparing for your tour of Kekova and Demre.

2. Olympos Be ready and waiting for our team to pick you up from your chosen meeting point in Olympos.* Our comfortable 14-seater vehicle will transfer you to Demre harbour where the boat sets sail to Kekova at around 10.30-10.45 am.

3. Kekova Discover the fascinating secrets of Kekova’s history on this unique adventure around the Sunken City. The ancient city of Dolchiste was flooded due to an earthquake in the 2nd century, and its resulting underwater ruins never fail to leave an impression.

4. Kekova Island Since this is a protected area, swimming is not permitted here, so what better way to explore the site than by cruising alongside the ruins on our glass-bottom boat, giving you the chance to capture unforgettable photos.

5. Castle of Simena Our boat will drop anchor in Kaleköy port (ancient Simena) for one hour, giving you time to visit this small authentic village that’s home to castle ruins and a necropolis. 30 minutes

6. Sunken City Ruins of Simena A hike up the hillside will give you magnificent views of the Kekova region. If you’d prefer to admire Simena Castle from down below, you can use your remaining time to take another dip in the gorgeous blue waters. 30 minutes

7. Gokkaya PlajI ve Koyu Esmeralda Bay Time for a lunch and swim break at beautiful Esmeralda Bay where you can enjoy peace and tranquility during this fascinating journey. Burç Bay Enjoy the peaceful ambiance of this area during a swim break in Burç Bay, where the water feels cooler due to cold underwater natural springs! Gökkaya Bay We’ll stop to swim in Gökkaya Bay, where you can experience the natural beauty of the area and opt to participate in one of the various exciting water sports on offer. 2 hours

8. AsIrlI AdasI Deniz MagarasI Discover this intriguing naturally-formed cave, which is renowned for its large size and curved entrance.

9. Demre (Kale) Karemlik Bay 3 out of the 7 known sea turtle species can be found in the Mediterranean Sea. At Karemlik Bay, you’ll have the chance to look for these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Demre Harbour After your fascinating trip on the water, our boat will drop anchor in Demre port, where your tour continues with a visit to a nearby historical site. 30 minutes

10. Myra Antik Kenti Your chance to discover Demre’s most famous archeological site! A true step back in history as you observe some of Myra’s most significant ancient ruins dating as far back as the 5th century B.C. 30 minutes

11. Rock tombs in Myra There is plenty of time to explore the two highlights of this stop: a Roman-style theatre (the largest in Lycia!) and eerie rock-cut tombs carved into the cliffs above. 30 minutes

12. Olympos Sadly your tour must come to an end, but not before we bring you back to Olympos, where you can continue your holiday in Turkey, and remember all of the fascinating sights you saw today. 2 hours 30 minutes
