Important Information Punctuality Kindly be at your Hotel Lobby at least 10 minutes before the stated pick up time. The tour guides will only wait a maximum of 10 minutes for you before proceeding to the next stop. Traffic If you are headed to the meeting point, we would like to stress that heavy traffic in the mornings is expected, and can vary greatly when compared to the travel time stated in navigation apps (e.g. Google Maps, Waze, etc.). Please make sure to consider leaving with enough time to reach your destination. Dress Code Clothes revealing the shoulders, underarms, back, and knees are not allowed in some sites on this tour; implementation may be strict. Kindly bring a scarf/sweater to cover up or wear clothes that fit the dress code. Please take note On December 31, 2022, expect big traffic disruptions due to roads closure.

What To Expect

1. Karakoy Have you already had your fill of Istanbul’s touristy spots? It’s time to explore the area of Kadikoy like one of the locals and get a perspective as an Istanbulian. Join us on this full day adventure where we’ll hit up favorite domestic spots and even eat like a local! We’ll start the day with a pick up from your accommodation in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Then we’ll head over to vibrant Karakoy, before heading to Asia, where we’ll sample a filling Turkish breakfast. 1 hour

2. Kadikoy Then we’ll board a ferry and head to Kadikoy. This part of Turkey is considered part of Asia and is home to a number of popular local haunts. Once we disembark, we’ll head to the Kadikoy Fruit Market and wander around the aisles. Feel free to buy some local produce and ask your friendly Trip Guru for some recommendations. 1 hour 30 minutes

3. Next, we’ll head to Moda Promenade, the cultural center of Kadikoy that is littered with a multitude of cafes, shops, and more. We’ll then head to Uskudar, a sprawling residential area, and have lunch at a beloved traditional Turkish restaurant. 1 hour

4. Uskudar We’ll then head to Uskudar, a sprawling residential area, and have lunch at a famous traditional Turkish restaurant, Kanaat Lokantasi. 1 hour 30 minutes

5. CamlIca Mosque After sampling some delicious Turkish fare, we’ll make our way to Camlica Mosque. Completed in 2019 after six years of construction, this huge mosque is the largest mosque in Turkey. It can fit well over 25,000 people at a time and is a favorite place of worship for the locals. We’ll explore the large building and take in the beautiful design and architecture before heading to Otagtepe Park. 1 hour 30 minutes

6. Otagtepe This is another popular spot where locals spend their days in. We’ll stroll around the picturesque area, taking photos of the beautiful grounds. 1 hour

7. Kanlica Meydani Our last stop of the day is Kanlica, a neighborhood popular for its yogurt snack which is sprinkled with caster sugar and sold in many cafes in the area. We’ll sample this renowned snack before we make our way back to your accommodations. 30 minutes
