Overview

It all starts with a warm cup of tea or coffee before jumping right into the crafting of your own Buttery Croissant, Pain au Chocolat (or chocolate croissant) and the Pain au Raisin ! Small groups of 8 allow the chef to follow closely how you learn new skills and knowledge. First, discover the equipment, the ingredients, and the theory behind the making of the croissant. You will be making it from scratch with quality ingredients we selected from our local producers. Then kneading the predough is where it all begins. You will provide the last ingredient with the rolling pin as you roll out the finished dough from which you will shape your own pastries! Time will do the rest while they rest and bake. It all ends well with the tasting of what you have baked and the always instructive chat about your trip to Paris. We, as chefs, are very happy to give you our culinary advice, recommendations, and opinions and also learn from you. Don’t forget to take away the leftovers!

We will be welcoming you to our pastry workshop located very close to Place des Vosges. Our workshop is easily recognizable as it's situated on a corner and has a red storefront with the words 'LE CAFE CHINOIS' written on it!

Class with my Daughter

Visiting from New York, My 7 year old daughter and I signed up for the croissant baking class. She enjoys cooking and looked forward to it during our trip. The class was fun and informative, in a nice setting, and we learned croissant making from start to finish. Seeing the complexity of the process gave us a new appreciation for what a good croissant is, and the class will allow us to go home with the skills to try it ourselves.

Upon learning that we’ll be going to Paris, the first thing my 12 year old daughter asked for was to attend a croissant baking class. This class surely didn’t disappoint. Delphine, our instructor was lovely and very knowledgeable and made the class so fun! She showed us how to make the dough from scratch, laminate it, roll it, shape it … as a bonus, you also get to make pain au chocolat, pain aux raisins & cinnamon rolls with the scrapes from the dough. Thank you Delphine ! Highly recommended .

Learn to make real French croissants!

We took a croissant making class at the Notre Dame location with Morgan and it was nothing short of exceptional! Morgan was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and a great instructor. She explained the why of everything in a way that was easy to understand and was very engaging the entire time. She made this class so much fun and we can’t wait to try making these croissants back home! We highly recommend this class while you’re in Paris! Thank you Maison Fleuret and Morgan for a fantastic experience!
