What To Expect

1. Kiyomizu-dera Temple Kiyomizu temple is one of the World Heritage Lists in Kyoto. Then It is the must-see temple in Kyoto. Please look at the panoramic view around Kyoto. Because it is located on the Higashiyama hill. Also it has longer history than capital of Kyoto. It was originally built in 778. 1 hour

2. Sanjusangendo Temple Sanju-san-gen-do temple is one of our recommended temples in Kyoto. Because you can find fantastic statues in main hall. Those are called One thousand One " Senju Kannon" statues. Also please enjoy the spectacular views with the line-up of Buddhist statues. 40 minutes

3. Arashiyama We will take lunch break in Arashiyama. ★Lunch info (If you choose our tour with lunch) ・Japanese style buffet lunch with local foods Enjoy the seasonal buffet along with the superb view from your seat overlooking the Togetsukyo Bridge, the symbol of Arashiyama. （The dates below will be a Japanese set meal instead of a buffet lunch:4/11, 4/13, 4/16, 4/23, 4/25, 5/17） 1 hour

4. The Bamboo Forest Trail We will go through the Bamboo forest trail to Tenryu-ji temple. Bamboo is all year green. Then the beauty is signature of Kyoto. Please bring your camera. Because there are photogenic places. 30 minutes

5. Tenryu-ji Temple Tenryu-ji temple is listed on the World Heritages in Kyoto. There are traditional Japanese garden. The design of the garden is unchanged more than 700 years. You can enjoy beautiful flowers and plants in each season. 30 minutes

6. Kinkakuji Temple Kinkan-ji temple was built in same era as Tenryu-ji temple. Also it is listed the world heritages either. The Golden pavilion is so magnificent covered with pure gold leaves. It is the symbol of Kyoto. 40 minutes

7. Nijo Castle We will pass Nijo Castle on the return way. It has important historic place in Japan. Because the Edo government return the political right to the emperor.

8. Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine Fushimi Inari Shrine is the most popular place in Kyoto currently. Because it has beautiful One thousand Torii gates. You can go through in the One thousand Torii gates. It is an unforgettable experience for you. The inari shrines host the guardian gods for business success, well-being of the family, traffic safety and improvement in performing arts. 1 hour 5 minutes

Perfect day tour with Harry!

Harry was such an amazing tour guide! He was enthusiastic, funny, knowledgeable and gave clear instructions on our meeting points and time we had to be back at the bus. Our friend group didn't go for the buffet lunch but there are plenty of other food places around so that wasn't a problem. This tour is a great way to see all the major sites including one lesser known one that would have been hard to get to on our own. It's a great way to save your feet while still seeing some beautiful places around Kyoto. We would definitely recommend this tour at the start of your time in Kyoto so if there's anywhere you want to go back to and spend more time at you can on another day!

Excellent tour but get ready to walk

Definitely an easy way to see Kyoto’s major sites. It is a lot of walking. I had my pedometer measure about 8 miles of walking. It was the 2nd week of June so hot but not unbearable. The bus had wifi and outlets for charging your phones. We brought our 4 and 7 year old but they are seasoned at walking 8-9 miles a day so they were fine. The buffet lunch was good and got to try some Japanese foods I didn’t get a chance to try yet but also some familiar favorites. Our guide Aska had a fun dry humor and was so friendly. Sites got crowded of course and it was a weekday but that can’t be helped and still enjoyed the sites.

Fantastic kyoto day trip

Had a wonderful day with At chan on the kyoto day tour. Saw some amazing shrines, temples and the bamboo forest was stunning. Lunch was fantastic too, with plenty to choose from and many drinks. At chan was a great guide with lots of interesting information about Japan and its culture. She was very happy smiley and good fun.

At-chan was a tremendous tour guide, especially for how hectic the day was. She never lost her smile the entire day, was so cheerful and answered all my questions. We got very lucky and went on a sunny hot day so the views were great. It was impressive how much information and activities they managed to squeeze into the tour, especially with how busy every spot was. Our bus driver Ueno-san was also so great, he smiled and greeted every single person every single time who walked onto the bus. Truly a one of a kind experience!
