We adore private trips and this did not disappoint for the same price as a group trip from the cruise line. I can't stress enough how you can book bigger, better and cheaper trips outside the cruise line. We had a great time, learned a lot about the island, and had a really enjoyable snorkel, water was perfect - although visibility could have been better but we still saw turtles, spotted stingray, fish, a ship wreck and got video from the trip which was excellent.

Johnny was a great local guide. He shared a lot about life on the island, and the snorkeling was awesome. We saw turtles, shipwrecks, and a bunch of other sea life.

We had an absolutely fantastic day in Antigua with Johnny! He promptly responded to all of our messages and created a custom tour just for us. He picked us up directly from our resort in his comfortably air conditioned car. He was easy to talk with and shared a lot of local history while answering our many questions! We especially enjoyed seeing the view at Shirley Heights. We had a perfect day to snorkel and saw a turtle and some cool ship wrecks. This was followed by a little hike to one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. At the end of the tour I forgot something in his car and he happily returned it for me. We recommend Johnnys tour 100 percent!

Johnny was just as awesome as everyone else has said. We got to Nelson‘s Dockyard early and had the place to ourselves. Went on to Shirley’s Heights, and two buses arrived just as we were leaving. Then headed down to Galleon Beach, where unfortunately the water was murky, but seeing the shipwreck was still a cool experience. I was shocked when Johnny swam down and right through it, but when we saw the video, there was a lobster hiding in there that I hadn’t seen! I’m a good swimmer, but Johnny stayed close to make sure I was OK, helping me out with snorkel gear issues and even giving me a tow with his lifeguard float. He was both friendly and informative, and we learned a lot about the highs and lows of “living on a rock.” Can’t recommend him enough; he deserves all the business he can get!

We had a terrific experience with Johnny. We are two Canadians visiting the island for the first time, and he provided a fun, beautiful excursion. He was accommodating of what we wanted to do (even found us a fruit stand to buy fresh fruit at) and answered all of our questions (life in Antigua, history of the island, what each fish’s name were). The snorkeling was fantastic! Really enjoyed spending time with and getting to know Johnny, and we highly recommend this tour.
