Overview

Gain an understanding of the mysterious rituals and strict rules of sumo wrestling at this sumo experience in Asakusa, Taito City, Tokyo. Have a chance to experience sumo wrestling Show for yourself and savor chanko (chicken hot pot) and other Japanese dishes prepared by former sumo wrestlers. Watch live demonstrations and listen to bilingual commentary by former sumo wrestlers to learn about this iconic Japanese sport. If you want to experience sumo firsthand, the highlight of the event will be the opportunity to enter the ring yourself. Feel what it’s like to be in the ring as you have a go at being a rikishi, or sumo wrestler. *If there are many applicants, one representative in a group or a lottery may be held. As well as experiencing sumo, enjoy chanko-nabe and other Japanese delicacies, receive a photo with a sumo wrestler, and take home an original sumo goods set as souvenirs. *Late Show at 8:30 p.m. does not include a meal, but all-you-can-drink is included.

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Learnt about the rules of Sumo and you could have a hands on experience if you wanted to. The food was fantastic and the facilities too. All the staff were excellent and we had a great experience! Thank you

A fun time

Really enjoyed this show. I was on my own but felt very much part of the show . You do learn a lot about Sumo in a fun way. The food and drink service was superb. The compare was hilarious. You get your photo taken with the wrestlers and the Geisha girl. You can take on one of the wrestlers at the end which was so funny. Book it up, sit back and have a laugh. Recommended.

We had the best time at the sumo show. It was fun learning about the history and traditions involved with sumo wresting. The host as well as the wrestlers were very entertaining and involved the audience. Would definitely recommend.
